Director of Finance

About the role

The Director of Finance will provide hands‑on financial oversight while driving forward‑looking analysis for Rixos Qetaifan Island North’s flagship resort. Reporting to the Managing Director, this senior leader will partner with department heads to strengthen financial processes, improve performance visibility, and ensure sustainable, efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll and financial reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Maintain robust internal controls and coordinate annual audits, tax filings and regulatory compliance.
• Review and analyse financial performance, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, ongoing forecasting and development of financial models for strategic decisions.
• Provide variance analysis and actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Support department heads in budget management and performance understanding.
• Evaluate cost structures and drive expense‑control initiatives.
• Partner on long‑range planning, capital investments and business strategy.
• Manage financial aspects of construction, renovation and other capital projects, including cash‑flow and ROI analysis.
• Assist in evaluating new partnerships, opportunities and operational initiatives.
• Oversee cash‑flow management, banking relationships and liquidity to meet operational and capital needs.
• Provide leadership to the Accounting Manager and finance team, fostering a collaborative and accountable culture.

Required profile

• Minimum 5‑10 years of progressive finance leadership experience, preferably within hospitality or large‑scale property environments.
• Proven track record in financial reporting, budgeting, audit coordination and regulatory compliance.
• Strong expertise in cash management, internal controls and tax compliance.
• Experience supporting capital projects, strategic planning and long‑term financial analysis.
