Director of Institute of Private Training

About the role

The American International University (AIU) in Kuwait seeks a visionary leader to head its Institute for Private Training (IPT). Reporting to the Vice President for University Engagements, the Director will shape the institute’s strategic direction, expand its executive education portfolio, and strengthen AIU’s ties with external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the IPT strategic plan aligned with AIU’s RISE Strategy 2026‑2030.
• Lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of executive education, professional development, and workforce development programmes.
• Identify, negotiate, and manage partnerships with government agencies, private sector firms, international universities, and professional associations.
• Oversee operational excellence, budgeting, and revenue growth for the institute.
• Collaborate with the Partnership Office to co‑create customised corporate training, certifications, consultancy services, and applied research initiatives.
• Represent IPT in national and regional forums to enhance AIU’s brand and benchmark performance.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in higher education, executive education, or corporate training.
• Track record of building and managing strategic partnerships across public and private sectors.
• Strong understanding of curriculum development, accreditation standards, and workforce development trends.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
