Director of Operations - F&B Group

About the role

A growing, multi-brand F&B group in Kuwait is looking for a Director of Operations to lead its restaurant, delivery and catering operations. The portfolio covers all-day dining, grill, bakery-café and delivery concepts, supported by a central production kitchen. Reporting directly to group leadership, the Director is accountable for operational performance across all units, including turning around underperforming outlets and building management capability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations across all outlets and the central production kitchen through the Multi-Unit Manager and outlet leadership teams
• Own operational P&L performance, including sales, food cost, labour cost, wastage and guest satisfaction
• Develop and run turnaround plans for underperforming units with clear targets and timelines
• Maintain consistent standards of service, presentation, hygiene and safety across all brands
• Implement KPI-based performance management and reporting for all outlets
• Develop managers and supervisors into a strong leadership bench
• Contribute operational expertise to new concept development and expansion

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in F&B operations, including at least 5 years leading multiple units or brands
• Proven P&L ownership, with at least one documented turnaround
• Experience in the Kuwait or GCC market
• Track record of developing managers and supervisors
• Clear, confident communicator across staff, management and ownership
• Arabic is a strong advantage

Required skills

• Strong command of KPIs, data analysis and operational systems
• P&L ownership and turnaround experience
