Director of Operations

About the role

BeCurious Preschool is seeking a Director of Operations to oversee all non‑teaching functions, ensuring a safe, calm, and reliable environment where children can learn.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations including arrival, dismissal, attendance tracking, scheduling and staff coverage.
• Maintain campus facilities, emergency readiness, and overall upkeep.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety regulations, child‑to‑staff ratios, and accurate record‑keeping.
• Coordinate staffing logistics with the Principal and lead administrative/support teams.
• Oversee vendor relationships, service contracts, and budget monitoring with continuous process improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in education, early childhood, business or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience leading or coordinating operations in a preschool, school or child‑centered setting.
• Proven experience supervising teams and managing compliance oversight.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding practices.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced use of spreadsheets.
• Experience with MIS and attendance management systems.
• Proficiency with general office software.
