Drilling Fluids Lab Chemist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Drilling Fluids Lab Chemist to join our Drilling Fluids & PT Laboratory team in Kuwait. The laboratory supports a wide range of field and laboratory requirements, including routine QC testing, drilling fluid formulation evaluations, product testing, field sample analysis, troubleshooting, and technical support to drilling operations and rig sites.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily QC testing and field laboratory requests.
• Provide technical backup during leave and unexpected absences.
• Assist in planning and distributing laboratory workload effectively.
• Support timely completion of laboratory testing, reporting, and field requests.
• Assist with drilling fluid formulation and product evaluation programs.
• Support troubleshooting and interpretation of laboratory test results.
• Review laboratory data and technical reports as required.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to junior laboratory personnel.
• Support special laboratory studies, product testing, and technical evaluations.
• Contribute to maintaining consistent service quality and laboratory turnaround time.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in a relevant technical role.
• Background in Oil & Gas, Drilling Fluids, or QC Laboratory.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
