Instrument Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Instrument Engineer to join our Drilling Fluids & PT Laboratory team in Kuwait. You will take technical ownership of laboratory instrumentation, ensuring calibration, maintenance and documentation are consistently managed to support reliable testing.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and maintain preventive maintenance and calibration schedules for all laboratory equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, coordinate repairs and manage service records.
• Maintain calibration certificates, service records and equipment history.
• Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers and external service providers for specialist support.
• Support installation, commissioning and validation of new laboratory equipment.
• Identify critical spare parts and manage spare‑parts planning.
• Provide technical recommendations for repair, refurbishment or replacement of equipment.
• Support laboratory audits by ensuring equipment records are complete and current.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in instrumentation, calibration, maintenance or laboratory equipment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
• Previous experience in the oil & gas industry or a laboratory environment is preferred.
