Electrical Maintenance Manager – Residential

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Manager to lead the electrical maintenance programme for a fleet of on‑shore drilling rigs in Kuwait. The role involves planning, directing and supervising all electrical maintenance activities to ensure maximum reliability and availability of rig systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve preventive, predictive and corrective electrical maintenance programmes for land drilling rigs.
• Plan and supervise major electrical overhauls, rig upgrades and refurbishment projects.
• Monitor equipment failures, perform root‑cause failure analysis (RCFA) and implement reliability improvement initiatives.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with OEM recommendations and industry best practices.
• Provide technical support and coordinate troubleshooting of complex electrical failures across multiple rigs.
• Track rig electrical KPIs such as availability, MTBF, MTTR and maintenance compliance.
• Conduct periodic inspections, audits and standardise maintenance procedures fleet‑wide.
• Develop annual maintenance plans and budgets, manage spare‑parts inventory and coordinate procurement.
• Maintain accurate records in a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Lead, mentor and supervise Electrical Superintendents, Supervisors, Engineers and field electricians.
• Allocate manpower, conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs.
• Promote a strong electrical safety culture and ensure compliance with LOTO, PTW and other HSE requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading electrical maintenance teams on on‑shore drilling rigs.
• Strong knowledge of OEM recommendations, industry best practices and HSE policies.
• Ability to develop maintenance plans, budgets and manage spare‑parts inventories.
• Experience conducting root‑cause failure analysis and implementing reliability improvements.
• Leadership skills to mentor staff, allocate resources and assess competencies.
