Electrical Technician II – Downhole Tool Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Technician II to perform diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, calibration and inspections on down‑hole tool electronics for directional and measurement‑while‑drilling applications. The role is based in Ahmadi, Kuwait and operates under direct supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair down‑hole tool electronics and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration and inspections on directional/RSS and M/LWD sensors.
• Assemble and disassemble Measure‑While‑Drilling (MWD) and Logging‑While‑Drilling (LWD) tools.
• Ensure all tasks are carried out safely, efficiently and in compliance with company standards.

Required profile

• Technical school certificate or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
• Ability to work under direct supervision and follow safety procedures.

Required skills

• Mechanical aptitude.
• Electronics aptitude.
• Computer skills.
• Assembly and disassembly of MWD/LWD down‑hole tools.
• Calibration of down‑hole electronics.
• Preventive maintenance and diagnostic troubleshooting.
