EMT Basic – Emergency Medical Services

About the role

The EMT Basic will join V2X's fire department in Kuwait, providing emergency medical care and fire safety support. The role involves responding to fire and medical calls, assessing patients, and delivering treatment on scene and during transport.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to fire, medical, and related emergency calls, assess situations, and provide appropriate care.
• Obtain basic medical history, perform physical examinations, and use medical equipment to determine patient condition.
• Communicate patient status to paramedics and medical officers and ensure safe transport to hospitals.
• Educate staff and the public on fire safety and prevention.

Required profile

• Nationally registered EMT‑Basic with CPR/BLS and First Aid certifications.
• Minimum 2 years experience in an emergency health‑care setting and on an ambulance.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking) and able to work rotating day, swing, and midnight shifts.
• Physically capable of lifting at least 100 lb and handling heavy equipment.

Required skills

• EMT‑Basic certification and knowledge of emergency medical protocols.
• CPR/BLS and First Aid certification.
• Operation of medical equipment, stretchers, and ambulances.
• Basic computer and equipment‑learning skills.
