Executive Manager – Retail Sales (Automotive)

About the role

The organization seeks an experienced Executive Manager to lead and optimise retail sales across new, used and certified vehicles. This senior position drives commercial performance, enhances the customer experience and ensures profitability while managing high‑performing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute retail sales strategies to meet sales, revenue, profitability and market‑share targets.
• Lead new‑vehicle, used‑vehicle and certified‑vehicle sales, vehicle delivery, sales administration and related operations.
• Drive showroom performance through exceptional customer engagement and sales excellence.
• Oversee inventory planning, stock optimisation, vehicle allocation and ageing.
• Monitor sales, financial, operational and customer‑satisfaction KPIs and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets while ensuring commercial efficiency.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Service, Parts, Finance, CRM, Fleet Sales and HR to support growth.
• Maintain strong relationships with the OEM to ensure compliance and reporting.
• Lead, mentor and develop department managers and staff, fostering a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in automotive retail sales operations.
• At least 7 years in a senior management or leadership role within the automotive industry.
• Proven track record of sales growth, profitability improvement and business performance.
• Experience working with automotive OEMs and adhering to manufacturer standards.
• Strong commercial acumen in budgeting, pricing strategy, inventory management and customer experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management and analytical abilities.
