Facility Maintenance Lead

About the role

The Facility Maintenance Lead will be based in Kuwait supporting the LOGCAP program for the U.S. Army. The role involves maintaining and repairing fire detection, suppression, and related electronic intrusion alarm systems in secure and critical military environments.

Key responsibilities

• Direct maintenance and repair of fire protection and alarm systems, including circuit boards, breakers, transformers, and batteries.
• Use test equipment (voltmeter, ammeter, telephone test sets, smoke detector testers, wire tracers) to diagnose and resolve system malfunctions.
• Program fire alarm control panels and perform load calculations using specialized software.
• Perform routine and emergency services, often after normal work hours, in secure military installations.
• Maintain accountability for parts, tools, equipment, and vehicle operation.
• Prepare required work documentation and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for fire alarm and suppression systems, providing recommendations to the U.S. Government.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree and a minimum of 5 years experience in HVAC, Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing, or Mechanical trades.
• Valid trade certification/license in one of the listed trades.
• Current Stateside driver’s license (or ability to obtain host‑country license).
• Ability to work in secure, sensitive areas following U.S. Army contract requirements.
