Field Professional – Drilling Fluid Services

About the role

Join Halliburton's Baroid division as a Field Professional providing on‑site drilling fluid services to customers in Kuwait. You will apply advanced chemistry knowledge and field experience to optimise wellbore performance and support rig operations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver well‑site fluid service under broad direction, performing routine and specialized testing.
• Guide and train Fluid Service Representatives on product usage, drilling fluid technology, and rig schedule optimisation.
• Interpret test results to provide technical guidance for customised engineering fluids.
• Track material usage, maintain inventory records, and support billing processes.
• Collaborate with operator representatives and rig personnel on operation planning and drilling optimisation.
• Assist technical and operations staff in well planning and business delivery activities.
• Review well recaps for accuracy and capture lessons learned.
• Mentor junior field service staff and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environment regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma (minimum); undergraduate degree in Engineering, Technology, Science or Chemistry preferred.
• At least 10 years of drilling fluid engineering experience, including work on five wells >16,000 ft depth or mud weight ≥18 ppg.
• Completed Halliburton mud training and passed a math test.
• Valid H₂S certification and experience handling H₂S influx situations.
