Fit-out Engineer

About the role

Benchmark Fitout is seeking a full‑time Fit‑out Engineer to join its on‑site team in Kuwait City. You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising interior fit‑out activities, ensuring that all work complies with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review technical designs and prepare material take‑offs for interior fit‑out projects.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Conduct site inspections, resolve technical issues, and monitor progress against project timelines and budgets.
• Support the approvals and permissions process, ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
• Prepare regular status reports for project managers and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in fit‑out engineering, with the ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Experience in site supervision, contractor coordination, and quality control for high‑end interior projects.
• Knowledge of construction materials, finishes, and installation methods relevant to premium interiors.
• Familiarity with project scheduling, cost monitoring, and basic quantity estimation.
• Understanding of local building codes, safety standards, and approval processes in Kuwait or the GCC region.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Engineering, or a related field.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks on‑site.
