Guest Services Assistant – Telecommunications

About the role

The Guest Services Assistant – Telecommunications supports the Telecommunication department at Jumeirah Messilah Beach, ensuring seamless communication with guests and internal teams. You will handle all telephone and fax interactions, manage guest requests, and respond promptly to emergencies while maintaining the brand’s high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming and outgoing calls promptly, using standardized English and a professional tone.
• Assist guests with requests or direct them to the appropriate department or room.
• Handle all faxes and messages for in‑house and expected guests.
• Ensure timely follow‑up on all guest requests to guarantee satisfaction.
• Manage emergencies efficiently and escalate critical issues to senior colleagues.
• Participate in daily briefings, read updates, and log activities in Service One and HotSOS.
• Maintain accurate shift handovers and record wake‑up calls.

• Excellent verbal communication in English with a professional demeanor.
• Strong ability to prioritize and resolve guest requests quickly.
• Attention to detail for accurate record‑keeping and shift handovers.
• Capability to work under pressure, especially during emergencies.
