Head of Finance

About the role

Tabby, the GCC’s leading shopping and payments platform, is launching its operations in Kuwait and needs a senior finance leader to build the finance function from day one. As Head of Finance you will own the Kuwait entity’s books, statutory reporting and control environment, ensuring a clean, scalable foundation.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Kuwait general ledger, chart of accounts, accounting manual and month‑end close in line with Group policy.
• Run a disciplined close calendar, produce the monthly reporting pack with variance commentary and balance‑sheet substantiation for Group Finance.
• Prepare Kuwait statutory financial statements, including Arabic‑language reconciliation and reserve transfers under the Kuwait Companies Law.
• Ensure accurate integration of Kuwait data into Group consolidation, handling inter‑company reconciliation, transfer‑pricing support and related‑party disclosures.
• Maintain a full reconciliation framework for banks, payment‑service providers, receivables, merchant payables, collections, recoveries and suspense items.
• Manage Central Bank of Kuwait regulatory reporting, respond to inspections and provide required prudential information.

Required profile

• Senior finance professional with proven experience in controllership and statutory reporting.
• Deep knowledge of Kuwait accounting standards, Companies Law and Central Bank regulatory requirements.
• Ability to design and implement chart of accounts, close processes and control frameworks that scale.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience preparing variance analysis and financial statements for a multinational group.
