Head of Finance - Kuwait

About the role

Arla Foods Kuwait is looking for a Head of Finance to own the finance agenda of its Kuwait business, combining strong financial control with commercial insight and business partnering. The role strengthens the financial performance of the business across Arla, the local joint venture partner and the Kuwait leadership team, with strong financial governance and transparency. It is based at the head office in Salmiya, reports directly to the Finance Director in Dubai and has a dotted line to the local GM.

Key responsibilities

• Own the management and presentation of the JV financial statements (P&L, balance sheet and cash flow).
• Lead monthly closing and financial forecasting, ensuring accuracy and transparency of business performance.
• Ensure trade and marketing investments (BDA, TPR, returns and campaign discounts) are accurately reflected in the ERP systems.
• Drive the commercial performance dialogue through reporting, profitability analysis and financial insights.
• Deepen profitability transparency across channels, customers and SKUs.
• Produce high-quality statutory reporting in line with IFRS and Arla Foods guidelines.
• Own net working capital performance, including oversight of credit controlling activities.
• Act as the finance interface between Arla, the local partner and external and internal auditors.
• Support the Kuwait leadership team and act as finance business partner to the commercial team.

Required profile

• Degree in Economics, Finance or Management Accounting.
• More than 5 years of experience in a relevant role, preferably in accounting or as a finance analyst/business partner.
• Independence, strong financial competencies and a results-oriented approach.
