Head of Risk Management

About the role

TapTap Payments is seeking a Head of Risk Management to lead its Risk Team across the MENA region. You will be responsible for shaping risk policies, overseeing risk identification, and ensuring regulatory compliance while supporting the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain risk management policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Lead risk identification and assessment for all departments, products, and third‑party relationships.
• Create and execute a strategic risk mitigation plan that supports the company’s goals.
• Update Risk Appetite statements and monitor key risk and control indicators.
• Maintain a comprehensive risk register and monitor risk profiles across the organization.
• Investigate root causes of incidents, analyse operational risk losses, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, providing advice, tools, and training to the first and second lines of defense.
• Facilitate implementation of systems for risk monitoring, conduct business impact analyses, and perform stress‑testing exercises.
• Prepare and present risk management reports to senior management and board committees.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in risk management, including identification, assessment, and mitigation.
• Proven ability to develop and implement strategic risk management plans.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry best practices.
• Excellent analytical skills for root‑cause analysis and operational risk loss identification.
• Effective relationship‑building and negotiation abilities.
