International Market Operations Assistant Manager

About the role

We’re looking for an International Market Operations Assistant Manager to oversee and coordinate the operational activities, ensuring seamless cross‑border transactions, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This is a pivotal role for a fast‑growing fintech company where you’ll oversee international payment flows, optimize processes, and manage high‑performing operations teams across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily international operations, including cross‑border payments, digital wallets, and partner integrations.
• Ensure full compliance with AML/KYC and other international financial regulations.
• Optimize operational workflows through automation and process improvements.
• Monitor and report on key metrics such as transaction success rates, settlement times, operational errors, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with regional teams and partners to resolve issues quickly and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Mentor and develop your team to ensure operational excellence and accountability.
• Provide actionable insights to leadership to drive strategic decisions and operational scaling.
• Implement and monitor transactional safeguarding controls to protect client accounts and funds.
• Oversee operational controls related to account access, transaction approvals, and payment authorization workflows to minimize fraud and operational risks.
• Ensure segregation of duties, transaction monitoring, and reconciliation processes are properly implemented to safeguard client funds and maintain financial integrity.
• Investigate and escalate suspicious or irregular transaction activity in coordination with compliance teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, operations, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in international fintech operations, cross‑border payments, or global financial services.
• Strong leadership and team‑management experience.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to monitor KPIs and implement process improvements.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
