Human Resources Director

About the role

The Human Resources Director will lead all HR functions, aligning strategy with business goals for a cement manufacturing company operating in Kuwait. This senior position oversees talent acquisition, workforce planning, employee relations, compensation, and compliance with local labour laws.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall HR strategy to support operational efficiency and business objectives.
• Lead talent acquisition and workforce planning for managerial, technical and operational roles, including partnerships with institutes and recruitment agencies.
• Manage employee relations, grievance handling, disciplinary actions and foster a positive work culture.
• Design and deliver competency‑based training, career development and leadership programs.
• Implement performance management systems, set KPIs and ensure consistent evaluations.
• Create competitive compensation structures, oversee payroll and enhance employee benefits.
• Update HR policies, ensure compliance with Kuwait labour law, occupational health and safety regulations.
• Drive organizational development initiatives, cultural change, restructuring and HR digital transformation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (CIPD, SHRM) preferred.
• 10–15+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in the cement manufacturing industry.
• Fluent in Arabic and strong knowledge of Kuwait labour law.

• Proficiency with HRMS/ERP systems.
