Interior Designer

About the role

SmartWood, a leading luxury interior craftsmanship house in Kuwait, is seeking a creative Interior Designer to join its team. You will work closely with clients to translate their visions into refined residential spaces and design bespoke furniture pieces that align with the company’s high standards of quality and aesthetics.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with clients to capture project requirements, design preferences and functional needs.
• Develop interior concepts, mood boards, layouts and space‑planning solutions for residential projects.
• Design custom wardrobes, kitchens, vanities, TV units and other bespoke furniture items.
• Produce detailed drawings, 3D renderings and presentation materials.
• Select finishes, materials, colours and hardware that meet design intent.
• Coordinate with production, engineering and installation teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site visits and take measurements when required.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with SmartWood’s quality and aesthetic standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in residential interior design.
• Strong portfolio showcasing residential interiors and custom furniture projects.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
