About the role
The Inventory Control Specialist will ensure accurate inventory records and support efficient warehouse and distribution operations for a leading retail business. This role focuses on maintaining stock integrity, minimizing losses, and providing reliable data for the sales, procurement, finance, and logistics teams.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain high inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliations.
- Control inventory movements, batch and expiry tracking, and return processes.
- Coordinate with warehouse, sales, procurement, finance, and logistics to resolve discrepancies.
- Generate timely and accurate inventory reports for management.
- Support operational efficiency and customer service by improving stock availability.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and inventory governance procedures.
Required profile
- 3‑5 years of proven experience in inventory management or related operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to collect data, generate reports, and determine order quantities.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency with ERP software for real‑time data integration.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with barcode scanning systems.
- Knowledge of ERP/WMS operation and inventory reporting & analytics.
- Familiarity with FEFO/FIFO inventory methods and batch/expiry management.
