Kindergarten (KG2) Teacher - American Creativity Academy

About the role

The American Creativity Academy (ACA) in Kuwait is hiring a Kindergarten (KG2) teacher to join in August 2027 on a two-year contract. The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools and the Middle States Association, is an IB World School, and follows a curriculum based on Core American Standards. The teacher supports students' academic growth and well-being while building strong relationships with them.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons following the prescribed curriculum, meeting students' needs, interests and abilities
• Build academic and problem-solving skills and encourage lifelong learning
• Use only textbooks approved by the Board of Trustees and the Ministry of Education
• Contribute to curriculum development and the selection of instructional materials
• Track, evaluate and report on student progress to the Principal, and maintain accurate academic and behavioural records
• Hold and document regular parent conferences and refer students needing extra support to the appropriate staff
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, playgrounds and during breaks and dismissal
• Lead or support student activities and after-school clubs, attend staff and grade-level meetings and serve on committees as needed
• Model the school's values, including respect for Islamic principles and honesty, integrity and kindness, and follow all school policies
• Pursue ongoing professional development through in-service training, seminars and courses, and perform other duties assigned by the Principal

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Early Years or Elementary Education
• Valid teaching license preferred
• 1-2 years of experience preferred; new graduates welcome
• Strong knowledge of teaching strategies and methods
