Lead Interior Designer

About the role

BPM Architects is seeking a Lead Interior Designer to head interior design projects in Kuwait. The role involves guiding concepts from initial ideas through detailed design, site coordination and final delivery while ensuring a high standard of design quality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead interior design projects from concept development through construction and final execution.
• Develop design concepts, space plans, mood boards, material palettes and presentation packages.
• Prepare and review interior design drawings, specifications, schedules and technical documentation.
• Coordinate interior design works with architectural, structural, MEP, lighting and specialist disciplines.
• Review furniture, fixtures, equipment, materials, finishes and interior detailing.
• Manage interactions with contractors, consultants, suppliers, manufacturers and project teams.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor quality and progress of interior works, and resolve design or technical issues.
• Lead, guide and support junior and mid‑level interior designers, delegating tasks and reviewing deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in interior design, with proven leadership of projects from concept to completion.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating design creativity, technical knowledge and completed residential, commercial, hospitality or retail projects.
• Excellent client‑management, presentation and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.

Required skills
