Lead Quality Assurance & Quality Control Engineer

About the role

The Lead Quality Assurance & Quality Control Engineer will drive the development and implementation of robust Project Quality Management Systems for KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions group supporting a 5‑year PMC contract with Kuwait Oil Company. This senior position ensures that all project deliverables meet corporate, contractual and regulatory quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate the creation, deployment and continuous improvement of Project Quality Management Systems in line with corporate and contractual requirements.
• Manage verification and inspection activities across the project, aligning with criticality assessments and regulatory obligations.
• Oversee quality support functions including quality planning, preventive actions, non‑conformance control, corrective actions, audits, and quality reporting.
• Collaborate with the HSE/QA‑QC Manager and Project Management Team to ensure compliance with the WorleyParsons Project Management Process (WPMP) and Enterprise Management System (EMS).
• Lead a team of quality practitioners, providing guidance, training and performance oversight.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of post‑graduation experience, including at least 8 years in oil & gas projects.
• At least 5 years in a senior QA/QC leadership role.
• Strong understanding of Quality Management principles and implementation of management systems.
• Extensive experience with plant and vendor inspection of mechanical equipment on‑shore and off‑shore.
• Proven ability to develop, maintain and update in‑house technical standards and specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting technical information.
• Demonstrated capability in planning, organizing and resourcing quality activities for large projects.
