Maintenance Technician – Electrical – UHT Processing

About the role

The Maintenance Technician – UHT is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Ultra High Temperature (UHT) processing systems and related plant equipment. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient production by performing preventive and corrective maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on UHT systems, including heat exchangers, pasteurization units, pumps, valves, sensors, and associated mechanical, electrical, and thermal components.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and control‑related issues affecting UHT equipment.
• Analyze equipment breakdown causes and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve reliability.
• Assist in installation, commissioning, and upgrading of UHT and related processing equipment.
• Create work orders, manage spare parts, and record maintenance activities according to plant procedures.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to minimize downtime.

Required profile

• Vocational training as an Electrician or a Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of maintenance experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Willingness to work shifts and respond to emergency maintenance calls.
• Ability to work in industrial environments with high temperatures, noise, and strict PPE requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with mechanical, electrical, and thermal systems used in UHT processes.
• In‑depth knowledge of heat exchangers, pasteurization systems, and UHT equipment.
• Hands‑on troubleshooting and repair of complex processing machinery.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
