Maintenance Technician – Mechanical (Utility Systems)

About the role

The Maintenance Technician – Mechanical (Utility) is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting key utility systems such as ammonia cooling plants, HVAC, boilers, compressors, chillers, and water treatment facilities. The role ensures equipment runs efficiently, safely, and in compliance with environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on ammonia cooling plants, boilers, pumps, air compressors, HVAC systems, chillers, cooling towers, and water treatment plants.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues, record activities, and report breakdowns and spare‑part usage.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new utility equipment and monitor energy consumption for efficiency improvements.
• Maintain tool, spare‑part, and consumable inventories and respond promptly to emergency breakdowns.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Maintenance.
• 3‑5 years of utility maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of boilers, chillers, air compressors, HVAC systems, and water‑treatment plants.
• Familiarity with safety standards, regulatory compliance, and ability to read technical drawings.
