Materials Engineer

About the role

Penspen, an energy services company providing engineering, project management, asset management and integrity services, is hiring a Materials Engineer in Kuwait. The post reports to the Resident Engineer and acts as a liaison between the client and the contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and check contractor requisitions, work packages, risk and method statements to optimise work processes.
• Witness and verify compliance with the design specification, overseeing construction so that QHSE standards are maintained.
• Provide on-the-job training to the client's counterpart.
• Oversee all material sampling and testing of soil, asphalt and concrete works.
• Monitor tests on raw materials and finished products to ensure quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 5-10 years of relevant materials management experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in the design and construction of onshore plants.
• Familiarity with industry standard codes and construction practices.
• Preferred candidates live in Kuwait.

The position is full-time under a fixed-term contract, closing on 30 November 2026.
