Mechanical Superintendent – Deep Drilling

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Superintendent to lead mechanical maintenance for deep‑drilling land rigs in Kuwait. The role focuses on ensuring equipment reliability, optimizing maintenance processes, and maintaining a safe operating environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all maintenance and repair activities for rig mechanical systems.
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies, schedules, and reliability improvement initiatives.
• Lead troubleshooting, failure analysis, and coordinate major overhauls and repairs.
• Manage critical spare‑parts inventory and support efforts to reduce non‑productive time.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, participate in audits, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Lead and mentor mechanical maintenance teams and contractors, coordinating with rig managers, OEMs, and service providers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of drilling equipment maintenance experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
• Extensive experience on deep‑drilling land rigs (3000 HP and above).
• Strong knowledge of drilling equipment reliability and maintenance best practices.
• Preferred candidates from Canada, United States, Europe, Eastern Europe, Australia, or China.

Required skills

• Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
