Medical Insurance Specialist

About the role

The Medical Insurance Specialist will oversee and coordinate all medical insurance activities across Zain's operating companies. This role ensures that insurance plans and policies are applied uniformly and that employees receive consistent health coverage support.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate and control medical insurance activities for all Zain OpCos, providing guidance to regional insurance officers.
• Resolve plan‑related issues through proper communication channels and ensure compliance with unified policies.
• Oversee premium payments, billing, and contract documentation.
• Monitor claim reimbursement processes and coordinate timely payments with stakeholders.
• Generate statistical reports on medical insurance as required.
• Update health network information to reduce external medical invoices.
• Handle employee complaints and inquiries regarding health insurance.
• Act as focal point between TPA, insurer and employees for claim settlement.
• Maintain databases of claims and operational risks.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual insurance reconciliations and operating reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, statistics, health sciences or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 6 years in a similar insurance role.
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, financial fundamentals, forecasting, planning and logistics.
