Mid-Level Accountant – Finance Department

About the role

Wajda Group is seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented Accountant to join its Finance Department in Kuwait. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, managing cash flow, and supporting budgeting and reporting activities across its telecom, contracting, and trading & sales operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the General Ledger and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including receivable aging and collection follow‑ups.
• Perform bank reconciliations and keep the fixed‑asset register and depreciation schedules up to date.
• Develop daily, weekly and monthly cash‑flow forecasts and support working‑capital management.
• Conduct budget vs. actual variance analysis and produce management reports.
• Assist with payroll accounting, month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT regulations and internal controls, and support internal and external audits.
• Record and manage transactions using ERP systems, preferably Odoo.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in telecom, contracting, engineering or trading & sales.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CMA, CPA or CA (part‑qualified or qualified).
• Proven experience in cash‑flow management, budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Odoo ERP (or similar ERP systems)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel
• Good understanding of IFRS
• Knowledge of VAT regulations
