Multi-Skilled Technician cum Carpenter

About the role

The hotel is seeking a Multi‑Skilled Technician cum Carpenter to carry out preventive and corrective maintenance across all building systems. The role involves daily inspections, rapid response to work orders, and ensuring guest areas remain functional and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical and building systems according to the hotel’s PPM program.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, diagnose faults and carry out repairs to restore equipment with minimal disruption.
• Conduct daily inspections of guestrooms, public areas, plant rooms and back‑of‑house facilities, checking for safety hazards, leaks, abnormal noises and equipment alarms.
• Replace defective components such as lamps, switches, valves, filters, thermostats, belts and motors.
• Document work orders, record preventive maintenance activities and report recurring equipment failures to the Engineering Supervisor.
• Follow lock‑out/tag‑out (LOTO) procedures and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Required profile

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Building Services or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of maintenance experience in a hotel, commercial building or similar facilities environment.
• Experience across electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general building systems; hospitality experience is preferred.
