Neurology Consultant

About the role

The Neurology Consultant will join a leading hospital in Kuwait, delivering expert neurological care to both in‑patient and out‑patient populations. You will be responsible for rapid diagnosis, treatment planning, and ensuring high patient satisfaction while adhering to strict on‑call and documentation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Examine patients and diagnose neurological conditions to determine appropriate management.
• Perform approved neurological procedures within your defined privileges.
• Provide specialist consultations across inpatient and outpatient services.
• Review medical histories, prescribe treatments, and monitor for risks or complications.
• Share on‑call duties and meet the hospital’s 30‑minute response requirement.
• Maintain accurate, legible documentation in the EMR system.
• Coordinate follow‑up visits and monitor patient health status.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary care teams.

Required profile

• 9+ years post‑Doctorate/Fellowship experience in Neurology (12+ years desirable).
• MBBS/MBBCH, master’s in Neurology, and Board Certification/Fellowship.
• Medical degree from a Kuwait MOHE‑approved university.
• Strong clinical judgement in high‑acuity neurology cases.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
