Occupational Therapist Assistant I – Inpatient Rehab

About the role

The Occupational Therapist Assistant I works in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, providing direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This position requires independence, accountability, and a commitment to professional growth while serving a complex patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic interventions to patients of varying ages as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Complete all facility competency assessments and maintain required documentation.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress and report observations to the supervising therapist.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment during therapy sessions.

Required profile

• Active Arkansas State Board Occupational Therapist Assistant license.
• Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within the hiring period).
• Ability to work day shift hours (7:30 am – 4:00 pm) and fulfill a bi‑weekly schedule of 80 hours.
