Officer - Security Control Room

About the role

The Control Room Security Officer monitors and operates the university’s electronic security systems to protect people, property and assets. This position works from the security control room, ensuring rapid response to alarms and incidents across campus.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV and other security surveillance systems.
• Operate the Gallagher Access Control System.
• Manage the Digital Key Management System (Key Organizer).
• Monitor security alarms and coordinate appropriate responses.
• Communicate and coordinate security incidents with security personnel and relevant departments.
• Maintain accurate incident logs and reports.
• Support emergency response and campus safety operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (additional diploma or degree is an advantage).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a security control room or a similar environment.
• Experience with CCTV and electronic security systems; Gallagher experience preferred.
• Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
