Oracle Application Express (APEX) Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Application Express (APEX) Developer to design, build and optimise secure, high‑performance web applications for our client in Kuwait City. The role is a 12‑month fixed‑term position with the possibility of renewal, working in a hybrid model (minimum two hours on‑site).

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, design, develop, troubleshoot and debug Oracle APEX applications, data models and database programs.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver end‑to‑end web solutions and new features.
• Optimise performance by tuning SQL queries, identifying bottlenecks and implementing recommendations.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of failures and resolve performance issues.
• Design and implement RESTful web services and integrations.
• Enforce best practices, coding standards and maintain clean, automated codebases.
• Proactively identify and fix bugs and defects.

Required profile

• 12+ years of hands‑on experience in Oracle APEX application development.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with end‑users and cross‑functional teams.
• Self‑starter attitude, capable of handling multiple tasks in a rapid development environment.

Required skills

• Oracle APEX (minimum version 24.2, preferred 26.1)
• Oracle Database (minimum 19c, preferred 23ai)
• PL/SQL – packages, procedures, functions, triggers, views, exception handling
• SQL query optimisation and performance tuning
• Web technologies: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Ajax, jQuery
• JSON and RESTful web services integration
