About the role

Join a leading hospitality brand as a Pastry & Bakery Commis I, supporting the production of breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts for hotel outlets and banquets. You will work in a dynamic kitchen environment, ensuring high‑quality baked goods are prepared and presented to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and desserts following standardized recipes.
• Assist with buffet and à la carte dessert production, banquet pastries, and seasonal specialties.
• Measure, mix, proof, bake, decorate, and finish products while maintaining consistency.
• Prepare fillings, creams, mousses, sauces, icings, glazes, and chocolate garnishes.
• Monitor product freshness, rotate stock using FIFO, and ensure attractive presentation.
• Attend daily kitchen briefings, set up mise en place, and support buffet replenishment.
• Maintain cleanliness, label and store ingredients, and report equipment issues.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts, Pastry, Bakery or related field (preferred).
• 1–2 years of experience in a pastry or bakery kitchen, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
• Experience producing breads, pastries, cakes, desserts, and buffet items is an advantage.

Required skills

• Knowledge of pastry and bakery techniques.
• Basic cake decorating and dessert presentation.
• Understanding of baking methods and ingredient handling.
• Familiarity with HACCP and food safety standards.
• Ability to operate bakery and pastry equipment safely.
