Patient Care Tech I – 3rd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides essential support to patients and their families on the 3rd Floor Rehab unit during night shifts. Working closely with the healthcare team, the PCT ensures basic patient care, monitoring, and hygiene are consistently delivered with compassion and clear communication.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with basic care tasks, hygiene, and monitoring.
• Ensure all aspects of patient care are completed accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team.

Required profile

• Completion of 12 college‑level credit hours, including a passing grade in English Composition (C or higher) and an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater.
• Willingness to work flexible night hours (6:30 pm – 7:00 am).
• Strong organization, verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to learn and apply new healthcare‑related skills and collaborate consistently with the care team.
• Problem‑solving mindset and proactive approach to patient needs.
