About the role

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) works on the 3rd Floor Rehab unit during night shifts (6:30 pm – 7:00 am). The primary function is to assist patients and families with basic care, hygiene, and monitoring while acting as a compassionate member of the care team.

Key responsibilities

Provide basic patient care, hygiene assistance, and monitoring.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Collaborate with the care team to ensure complete and coordinated care.

Required profile

12 college‑level credit hours with a passing grade in English Composition (C or higher) and a minimum GPA of 2.0.
Willingness to work flexible night hours and a total of 72 hours bi‑weekly.
Good organization, verbal and written communication, and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

CPR certification (provided).
Ability to learn and apply new healthcare‑related skills.
Ability to engage patients at appropriate wellness and cognition levels.
