Patient Care Technician (RN Student) – PRN Shift

About the role

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) position supports patients and their families with basic care, monitoring, and hygiene while working closely with the healthcare team. This PRN role offers flexible day or night shifts and is designed for RN students who have completed at least one semester of an accredited program.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities, hygiene, and basic medical monitoring.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary care team.
• Ensure that all aspects of patient care are completed accurately and compassionately.
• Participate in on‑the‑job training including CPR, skills workshops, and hospitality in healthcare.

Required profile

• Active enrollment in an accredited RN nursing program with at least one semester completed.
• Minimum of 12 college credit hours, including a passing grade in English Composition (C or higher) and a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher (transcripts verified).
• Healthcare or service‑industry experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Willingness to work flexible PRN hours, both day (6:30 am‑7:00 pm) and night (7:00 pm‑6:30 am) shifts.
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication abilities.

Required skills

• CPR certification (provided through training).
