Patient Support Program Nurse – Home Health (Kuwait)

About the role

The Home Health Nurse delivers comprehensive nursing care to patients with chronic conditions in the community, supporting optimal health and quality of life. Working within Axios International’s Patient Support Programs, the nurse follows established policies, physician orders, and local/international nursing standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide telephonic follow‑up consultations and monitor vital signs, blood glucose, and pain levels during home visits.
• Prepare and administer medications, including injections, IVs, inhalations, oral, infusions and rectal routes.
• Perform wound assessments, dressing changes, advanced foot care (optional) and cardiac assessments using ECG equipment.
• Educate patients and families on disease management, medication use, and self‑care techniques.
• Report adverse events, complete pharmacovigilance training, and maintain accurate electronic program files and monthly/quarterly reports.

Required profile

• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) and a valid local nursing license or eligibility letter.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent command of English and ability to travel frequently, including training in the UAE.
• Current CPR and/or First Aid certification and a Good Standing Certificate (issued within the last 6 months).

Required skills

• Vital signs monitoring (BP, HR, temperature, SpO2).
• Blood glucose monitoring and patient education.
• Medication preparation and administration (injections, IV, inhalation, oral, infusions, rectal).
• Pain management medication monitoring.
• Wound assessment and dressing changes.
• Advanced foot care (optional).
• Cardiac assessments using ECG equipment.
• Mental status assessment.
• Pharmacovigilance reporting and adverse event documentation.
• Use of nursing equipment such as ECG machines, spirometers and patient monitors.
