Planning Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Planning Engineer to join our Energy Management Services team in Kuwait. The role focuses on developing and executing maintenance planning processes to ensure efficient project delivery and equipment reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance planning procedures supporting project execution.
• Establish and optimise manpower planning and resource allocation for maintenance activities.
• Monitor and report on maintenance costs, work progress and overall performance.
• Identify and recommend spare parts, special tools and equipment required for maintenance.
• Create preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate planned shutdowns.
• Track maintenance schedules, shutdown progress and prepare related reports.
• Coordinate planning activities to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Support continuous improvement of maintenance planning and preventive maintenance programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years experience in maintenance of mechanical, electrical or instrumentation equipment in oil & gas or industrial sector.
• At least 5 years in a maintenance planning or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance for static and rotating equipment.
• Proven ability in cost control, performance monitoring and reporting.
• Excellent analytical, planning, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
