HSE Supervisor – Water & Food Business Unit

About the role

The HSE Supervisor will lead Health, Safety and Environmental activities across multiple sites within the Water and Food Business Unit in Kuwait. The role ensures compliance with company policies, legal requirements and international HSE standards while fostering a proactive safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate HSE activities across sites, ensuring compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Conduct HSE audits, risk assessments, workplace inspections and safety reviews, and close audit findings promptly.
• Lead investigations of accidents, incidents and near‑misses, perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain site‑specific emergency response procedures, drills and training programmes.
• Monitor HSE KPIs, prepare performance reports and recommend improvements to management.
• Lead, supervise and develop HSE technicians and coordinate with production, quality, engineering, HR and other departments.
• Support environmental management practices, monitor compliance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
• NEBOSH IGC certification (mandatory) and ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years progressive HSE experience with supervisory responsibilities, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, water or food sectors.
• Strong knowledge of occupational HSE standards, legislation, risk management and emergency preparedness.
