Principal Customer Enablement Specialist

About the role

Reporting to the Director of Professional Services, the Principal Customer Enablement Specialist will deliver full‑time, on‑site technical support and training for AspenTech’s Subsurface Science & Engineering Formation Evaluation product suite (Aspen Geolog) to a strategic Middle East customer. The role blends deep technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills to help users maximize the value of SSE technology.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site customer services that drive user engagement and sustain product usage.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical or engineering problems using Aspen Geolog.
• Escalate customer issues and coordinate cross‑functional resolution within AspenTech.
• Collaborate with R&D and Product Management to drive continuous product enhancements.
• Work with other AspenTech functions to maintain and develop business opportunities.
• Adhere to contractual obligations and communicate potential gaps to management.
• Prepare activity reports and KPI dashboards for the customer and internal stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with the customer to understand their business needs and challenges.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geoscience‑related disciplines (Geology, Petrophysics, Petroleum Engineering).
• 10+ years of experience in formation evaluation or petrophysics.
• 5+ years of experience with Aspen Geolog software.
• Previous on‑site customer engagement experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Customer‑first mindset with the ability to identify value‑creating opportunities.
• Proactive problem‑solving approach for complex technical or organisational issues.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and competing priorities.
