Professor (All Levels) in Electrical Engineering & Robotics

About the role

The American International University (AIU) in Kuwait City is looking for a dynamic faculty member at the level of Full, Associate or Assistant Professor to lead teaching and research in Electrical Engineering and Robotics. The successful candidate will shape undergraduate and graduate curricula, supervise student projects, and maintain an active research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, student‑centered instruction in Electrical Engineering and Robotics courses at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Design and run laboratory sessions that incorporate current industry technologies and best practices.
• Coordinate course delivery, ensure consistent learning outcomes, and develop assessment strategies.
• Develop, review, and continuously improve curricula and course materials.
• Supervise capstone, design, and research projects for undergraduate and graduate students.
• Maintain an active research program with peer‑reviewed publications and collaborative initiatives.
• Mentor students in academic, professional, and research development.
• Participate in departmental, school, and university committees and accreditation activities.

Required profile

• Innovative academic with a strong scholarly record.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate emerging technologies and industry practices into teaching.
• Expertise in robotics and at least one related area such as cyber‑physical systems, PLCs, image processing, robot vision, or hardware‑integrated systems.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching, research, curriculum development, and student success.
• Willingness to contribute to academic service and continuous quality improvement.
