Professor (Assistant/Associate/Full) of Electrical Engineering

About the role

The School of Engineering and Computing at AIU seeks a full‑time faculty member in Electrical Engineering at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The candidate will teach undergraduate courses, develop curricula, mentor students, and maintain an active research profile.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate courses covering core and advanced topics such as electrical circuits, electronics, signals and systems, control systems, power systems, digital systems, communications, embedded systems, and automation.
• Design and supervise hands‑on laboratory experiences that incorporate current technologies, industry‑standard software, simulation tools, and practical engineering applications.
• Integrate AI, emerging technologies, and computational tools into teaching, labs, and research projects.
• Participate in curriculum development, program assessment, ABET accreditation support, and continuous improvement activities.
• Collaborate with faculty, industry partners, and professional organizations on interdisciplinary initiatives.

Required profile

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of university‑level teaching experience with demonstrated excellence in Electrical Engineering education.
• Strong communication skills in English and proven ability to mentor and advise students.

• Expertise in electrical circuits, electronics, signals and systems, control systems, power systems, digital systems, communications, embedded systems, and automation.
• Proficiency with engineering software, simulation platforms, and programming tools.
• Ability to incorporate AI and emerging technologies into curriculum and research.
