About the role

The American International University seeks a dedicated scholar to join its School of Arts and Sciences as a Full, Associate, or Assistant Professor of Professional Ethics. The role involves delivering high‑quality undergraduate instruction, fostering ethical reasoning, and contributing to the academic growth of the program.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in Professional Ethics and related subjects.
• Develop, update, and revise course syllabi, learning materials, and assessments.
• Incorporate contemporary ethical issues, case studies, and real‑world professional scenarios into teaching.
• Apply interactive, student‑centered methodologies to promote critical thinking and ethical decision‑making.
• Integrate professional standards, ethical frameworks, and codes of conduct into course content.

Required profile

• PhD in English, Literature, Philosophy, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience teaching ethics or comparable humanities courses.
• University‑level teaching experience in degree programs.
• Familiarity with the Kuwaiti educational context.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative abilities.
