QA/QC Inspector (Coating)

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced QA/QC Inspector specialized in coating for oil & gas pipeline projects. You will ensure that surface preparation, coating application, and related testing meet project specifications and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect surface preparation (blasting) and verify cleanliness and profile standards.
• Monitor coating application (3LPE, FBE, paint systems), including thickness and adhesion tests.
• Check environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, dew point) before and during coating.
• Perform holiday detection, adhesion, impact, and hardness tests on coated surfaces and witness repair of defects.
• Maintain daily inspection records, log sheets, test reports, and prepare weekly summaries for management and client.
• Issue non‑conformance reports (NCR) and follow up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate with coating subcontractor, QC teams, and attend progress meetings to support client inspections.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years experience as a Coating Inspector on oil & gas pipeline projects.
• Valid NACE Level II/III or BGAS‑CSWIP certification (mandatory).
• Thorough knowledge of pipeline external/internal coating systems and relevant ISO/international standards.
