QA/QC Supervisor - Mechanical

About the role

The QA/QC Supervisor – Mechanical will oversee all mechanical fabrication, piping, welding and coating activities to ensure compliance with contract drawings, standards and specifications. The role involves coordinating inspections, preparing documentation and reporting to senior QA/QC engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise structural steel fabrication, piping fit‑up and welding activities in shop and field.
• Conduct dimensional checks, welding inspections, NDT and coating inspections.
• Prepare and review material test reports, WPS/PQR matrices, WQT logs and piping weld summary sheets.
• Review radiographic (RT) films and assemble hydro‑test packs.
• Monitor surface preparation, cleanliness, environmental conditions and paint‑kit mixing for compliance.
• Report findings to QA/QC Engineers and coordinate all welding and coating inspections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E/B.Tech) with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a Mechanical Engineering Diploma with at least 6 years of experience.
• Valid NACE Level 1 and CSWIP certifications.
• Locally available candidates ready to join immediately, preferably approved by KNPC or KOC.

Required skills

• Welding inspection and NDT techniques.
• Coating inspection and surface preparation monitoring.
• Preparation of WPS/PQR matrices, WQT logs and hydro‑test documentation.
• Review of RT films and material test reporting.
• Knowledge of contract drawings, standards and specifications.
