QHSE Section Head – Food Safety & Quality Leader

About the role

As the QHSE Section Head you will lead food safety, quality and health‑&‑safety programmes across our bakery production facilities. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you will ensure every product complies with customer, governmental and international standards while guiding a team of three direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor policies and procedures that uphold product quality standards.
• Lead and manage a team of quality control professionals, including three direct reports.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of production facilities to verify compliance.
• Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and laboratory standard operating procedures.
• Drive Health & Safety performance toward zero lost‑time injuries.
• Investigate and resolve quality issues and customer complaints.
• Analyse quality performance metrics and lead continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with Production, Procurement and R&D teams.
• Develop and deliver staff training on quality standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in food quality/QHSE, including at least 2 years in a mid‑managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of product analysis, especially for bakery products.
• Advanced understanding of quality control methods and instruments used in bakery production lines.
• Experience with statistical process control and experimental design.
• Familiarity with quality and safety laws and regulations applicable in the GCC.
