Rig Superintendent – Onshore/Land Rigs (Resident)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Rig Superintendent to lead onshore/land rig operations in Kuwait. The role is residential and involves overseeing multiple rigs while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage drilling operations on 3000 HP rigs, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate drilling plans, monitor progress, and adjust operations to meet project objectives.
• Oversee maintenance and repair of drilling equipment to maintain optimal performance.
• Analyze drilling data, provide recommendations for optimization, and prepare performance reports.
• Train and supervise drilling personnel, fostering high competency and safety awareness.

Required profile

• At least 5 years recent experience as a Rig Superintendent in oil and gas.
• Proven experience managing multiple rigs simultaneously.
• Familiarity with Kuwait drilling regulations and industry standards.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.

Required skills

• 3000 HP deep drilling rig operations.
• High‑Temperature High‑Pressure (HTHP) drilling techniques.
• Proficiency with drilling software and related technology.
